Welcome — I’m Mark Davis, a photographer based in the coastal town of Ballina, New South Wales.

My photographic style blends atmospheric conditions, different POVs, and experimental cameras and techniques, including drone, 360-degree, and infrared imagery, with bold digital processing. I endeavour to transform familiar environments into sometimes surreal, creative scenes, where light, texture, contrast, composition and impact take centre stage.

There’s a strong sense of mood and storytelling in my images—balancing realism with artistic interpretation—while my visible light compositions highlight the natural beauty of the Northern Rivers through a creative, contemporary lens.

My visible-light images are inspired by the landscapes and character of the Northern Rivers and regularly travel throughout the region—from Brisbane in the north to Grafton in the south—documenting its diversity and natural beauty.
